Cape Haze Pioneer Trail
This 8-mile trail begins at the State Road 766 intersection and extends south near Pinedale Drive. You will pass through Coral Creek, which ends north of Boca Grande Causeway. Many of the trail’s right of way also leads to the Northern Railway and former harbor. You’ll see Port Charlotte’s historical background just by taking the trail. The trail also has asphalt roads and is ideal for advanced hikers. Ample parking spaces, restrooms, and water are available around the trail.

You can hike to the coastal estuary from dawn to dusk.
